Our Pilot Plant

Our pilot plant bridges the gap between the laboratory and the production plant, and comprises vessels from 50 to 1000 L in stainless steel, glass-lined, and Hastelloy C22. The pilot plant plays a key role when it comes to scale-up – enabling us to leverage our key strengths in terms of reliability, flexibility and speed. Plants are configured to create a dedicated train for each process. This prevents cross-contamination when operating different processes at the same time. The pilot plant has both small-scale low-temperature systems (-80 °C) and high-pressure equipment (64 bar). We can therefore provide effective support in the early phases of your project (from clinical phase II for pharmaceuticals). It is also suitable for small-scale (cGMP) manufacturing for up to a few hundred kg of product, e.g. for orphan drugs.
